4th Tee Makeover

The 4^th tee has undergone a makeover during the last week or so. Following the removal of all the low growing scrub surrounding the tee which will increase the available air/light component which is essential to sustainable grass growth we have also installed a grid drainage system, levelled and re-turfed the tee.

 

The construction and position of the 4^th tee offers multiple challenges in the ongoing retention of grass cover particularly during wet and wintery weather, with the desire to maintain as much coverage as possible throughout the year for both playability and aesthetic purposes we have also taken the decision to install an artificial teeing surface to be used when weather conditions dictate.

 

 

This is also in part to the lack of available teeing ground when the main tee is being rested due to the small size of our forward tee on the 4^th.

 

This artificial tee instillation will be wrapped up over the weekend and will be in play as soon as possible.

 

Following the turfing of the main tee we will improve the area further next week and have this main tee back in play in early spring.
